The cylindrical body of the vase is decorated with polychrome kutani saiyu (vivid enamel) glazes and fine dark bands. The vase has a narrow neck and flared rim. The kintsugi is on the rim and upper neck alone.
The bottom has the artist's signature in a cartouche of kutani green glaze: Masahiko

He was born Masahiko, the son of Tokuda Yasokichi II. In 1982 he succeeded his father and became Tokuda Yasokichi III, although his father officially reverted back to his name Momokichi in 1988.
This work was created while he was still using his given name Masahiko, so dates to before 1982 or so.
