Description: Japanese 20th century bamboo flower basket by master artist, KOSUGE KOUGETSU. KOSUGE was born in 1932 and learned the craft of bamboo flower basket making from his father. His first work of art was selected for exhibition in 1951. He subsequently exhibited at the 10th NITTEN and the Japanese Arts and Crafts Exhibition held once a year. In 2000 he had his first solo exhibition. The basket measures 12 1/8" tall by 4 1/4" in diameter. (nonesu) 03232012
