Description: Japanese late 20th century (1999) ceramic unglazed vase by Living National Treasure ceramicist, ITO SEKISUI. He was designated Living National Treasure for MUMYOI ware in 2003. He is the first ceramicist working in MUMYOI ware that has received this designation. He is the 5th generation working in this medium. The vase comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The vase measures 9" tall by 9" in diameter. (kunesu)
