Description: Japanese late 20th - early 21st century large MUMYO-ware ceramic vase by Living National Treasure ceramic artist ITO SEKISUI. He was designated Living National Treasure for MUMYOI ware in 2003. He is the first ceramicist working in MUMYOI ware that has received this designation. He is the 5th generation working in this medium. The vase comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The vase measures 14" in height and 14" in diameter. (denesu)
