Description: Japanese early 20th century pair of SATSUMA vases. The vases have mice and an octopus in anthropomorphic design. The mice are playing traditional New Year's game. All are dressed in kimono. Attributed to Makuzu Kozan. The vases measure 5 1/2" tall and 4" in diameter. (rudene)
