Description: Japanese late 20th century or 1996 lacquer box by lacquer artist SASAKI MASAHIRO. SASAKI MASAHIRO was born in SANUKI City in KAGAWA Prefecture in 1953. SASAKI completed his graduate studies at MUSASHINO Art University in 1979. He has exhibited at the prestigious NIHON DENTO KOGEI Exhibition numerous times. This box was an exhibition piece entitled GEN in 1996 at the NIHON DENTO KOGEI Exhibition. The box measures 12 3/4" long, 10 1/2" wide and 2" tall. (dodenesu)
