Description: Japanese Meiji Period fan shaped lacquered box. The box is done in the shape of 2 fans, one laying on the top of the other. Beautifully done in a black and brown lacquer. The bottom and insides are done in the NASHIJI technique. Most of the petals of the cherry blossoms are done in silver inlays. A few inlays are missing. The box measures 5 1/4" wide, 3" tall and 1 3/4" deep.
