Description: Japanese Meiji Period small lacquer box in the shape of a traditional Japanese folding screen. The screen has been half closed, but the opened half shows the design of Chinese boys playing in a moon-lit landscape. The moon is done in a silver inlay. The box measures 4 3/8" wide by 3 1/8" tall.
