Description: Japanese early Meiji Period Samurai doll set. The dolls have GOFUN (powder made from oyster shells) heads and hands, glass eyes, cloth, lacquer, metal and paper clothing. Great facial and body expression. The main doll measures 16" tall, 12 1/2" wide and 10" deep. The foot soldier measures 11 1/2" tall, 10" wide by 8" deep.
