Description: Japanese Early 20th Centuy MAKUZU KOZAN vase with silver overlaid decoration and rim. The white porcelain vase has branch of wisteria leaves and flowers. Signed MAKUZU KOZAN SEI on bottom in underglaze blue. The underside of the silver rim has SHREVE & CO and STERLING stamped into it. Reportedly, this type of vase were sold by Shreve and Company. The vase measures 9" tall by 5 1/2" in diameter. (nerasu)
