Description: Japanese early 20th century art deco designed goose incense burner by bronzer artist, YAMAMOTO JUNMIN (1887 - 1963). A beautiful and simple design for a goose. The back opens ups to a compartment for the incense. The goose's back feathers curl up to allow the incense smoke to leave the cavity. Signed JUNMIN on the bottom of the goose's tail feathers. The goose measures 8 3/4" tall, 5" wide and 3" deep. Comes with TOMOBAKO, original wooden artist storage box. (karu)
