Description: Japanese Meiji Period large lacquer bowl. The outside and bottom are done in black lacquer and the inside is done in red lacquer. The design of the wisteria tree and birds is done in gold lacquer over the black and red lacquered areas. A nice decorative piece. The bowl stands 4 1/8" tall and has a diameter of 11 1/8".
