Description: Japanese 19th Century hanging bamboo flower basket. Magnificent bamboo basket made by bamboo artist, WADA WAICHISAI I (1815-1901). The basket is loosely woven and is made to be hung. The base of the basket has a copper colored metal insert. Comes with TOMOBAKO, original artist signed wooden storage box. Signed Waichisai sei on bottom. The basket measures 14" tall and 11 1/4" in diameter. (nenesu)
