Name: JAPANESE EARLY 20TH CENTURY LARGE BAMBOO FLOWER BASKET

Description: Japanese early 20th century large bamboo flower basket. The basket is loosely woven with bamboo strips of medium thickness. The handle is made of a medium width bamboo stalk with "rope" made of finely cut and twisted bamboo wrapped around the stalk. In the middle section of the basket, the weave is even a little looser with fine stalks and branches of bamboo going in and out of the holes. A large and uniquely designed basket. Unsigned. The basket measures 17 1/2" tall and 13" in diameter at the top and 7 1/2" in diameter at the bottom. (nenesu)
