Description: Japanese early 20th century bamboo flower basket. The basket is of rectangular form with natural bamboo handle with 2 small stalks of bamboo gracefully wrapping around it. The frame of the basket is woven with medium and fine strips of bamboo. Around the frame is wrapped twine that made of very fine strips of bamboo. Signed by artist CHIKUHOSAI. The basket measures 16" tall, 10" wide and 6" deep. The base of the basket is square shaped with 4 feet made of natural stalks of bamboo. (dodene)
