Description: Japanese Meiji Period lacquer box. The lacquer box has the design of a vine plant with leaves and flowers and a single grasshopper. The grasshopper's abdomen is done in mother of pearl inlay. The box measures 5 1/2" length by 4" width by 2" height. (dorusu)
