Description: Japanese Meiji Period pair of bronze vases with mixed metal inlays by Mizuno Genroku 水野源六. The pair of vases have mirror image designs. The front is of a bird and flowers and the back is of a snail and bamboo. There are vine like designs on the neck and handles. The bottom has the name of the artist written as "GENROKU of Kaisha metalworks company in Kaga, present Ishikawa Prefecture in Imperial Japan" The vases measure 11 1/2" tall and 4 1/4" wide. (inesu)
