Description: Japanese Meiji Period bronze OKIMONO of mother monkey with baby. The OKIMONO is beautifully done with wonderful detail and expression. The mother and baby monkey, wearing traditional Japanese jacket, are playing with a human acrobat toy. Signed Kazukiyo. Comes with TOMOBAKO, original artist signed wooden storage box. The box is signed and stamped HORI KAZUKIYO. The box is also dated April, 1912. The OKIMONO measures 6 1/2" tall, 5" wide and 6" deep. (ranesu)
