Description: Japanese early 20th century KORANSHA porcelain vase
with cormorant and chrysanthemum design. Most of the design is done in underglaze blue with overglaze enamel detailing on the cheeks of the cormorants and on the chrysanthemum blossoms. The vase has hand written stamp on bottom, KORANSHASEI, made by KORANSHA. There is slight restoration to side of foot, hence the low price. See last photo where the dots are. The vase measures 10" tall and 8" in diameter. (kane)
