Description: Japanese Meiji Period very rare and unusual blue and white dragon design porcelain lamp base by MAKUZU KOZAN I. The piece is signed MAKUZU on bottom. The lamp base comes with a wooden storage box signed by the 6th generation MIYAGAWA KOSAI. The inscription on the side of the box says BLUE AND WHITE DRAGON DESIGN LAMP. MADE BY MAKUZU KOZAN I. Signed KOSAI with oval MAKUZU stamp and with square KOSAI seal. 12" height by 7 1/4" in diameter. (inesu)
