For nearly three decades, Kazuo Kuwabara, the sole proprietor of Oriental Treasure Box, has been in the business of acquiring and selling fine Japanese antiques and works of art. He opened his first store, in the Fall of 1984, in downtown San Diego's Olde Cracker Factory Building Antique Center. He thrived and expanded there for the next 22 years. In the Summer of 2006 he moved his business to a gallery in the Ocean Beach Antiques District. Five years on, in the Summer of 2011, he relocated to San Diego's Littly Italy. He opened a bright and spacious gallery in the North Little Italy Art & Design District (known as NoLi) on Kettner Blvd. In addition to fine Japanese antiques, the gallery's inventory includes the works of many of Japan's finest traditional and modern artists, personally selected by Kazuo who travels to Japan many times a year to find more treasures to add to his collection. We also exhibit at numerous antiques and Asian art shows around the U.S. and in Japan. Please look at our show schedule to see if we will be exhibiting somewhere near you.
